Apple QuickTake
History
In 1992, Apple Computer began marketing plans called QuickTake digital camera, codenamed Venus. At the time more than $ 12 billion spent annually in the United States in the picture. Apple wanted a company to design and manufacture its line QuickTake digital camera. It should be noted as a fact that Kodak had been selling its own branded version of this camera, manufactured in Japan by Chinon Industries, for more a year [citation needed].
The QuickTake 100 was launched in 1994 as an easy to use digital camera that connects to any Macintosh computer via a cable Apple series. The camera can store eight images at a resolution of 640x480, 32 photos at a resolution of 320x240, or a mixture of both sizes. All photos were 24-bit color. The camera had a flash, but no focus or zoom controls. The QuickTake 150 kit includes an aside about the lens you can focus in about 30 cm. In addition to downloading the photos to a computer, there was no way to get a preview of the camera, nor is there any way to remove individual photos camera (although there was a button to 'junk' embedded to remove all the contents of the chamber). It was one of the first digital cameras that have been for consumers to be released.
Apple released a kit for Microsoft Windows connection with the QuickTake 150 in 1995. The last model was the Fujifilm QuickTake QuickTake 200 built, launched in 1996. The 200 controls added the focus and aperture, and the ability to store images on removable SmartMedia cards flashRAM.
The various models QuickTake not sold well, as other companies like Kodak (already on the market before Apple), Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon and entered the digital market with brands that consumers associate with photography. Which were discontinued in 1997 shortly after Steve Jobs came back to Apple. In an attempt to streamline operations Apple, Jobs suspended many computer products, including the Newton line of products, the LaserWriter printer line and the QuickTake cameras. The camera Apple QuickTake has become a collector's item for fans of Apple.

Using QuickTake
The QuickTake 200 can be used with card readers that can read media 5V cards. For users with an Apple Macintosh System 7 running on Mac OS 9 with a serial port, the QuickTake 200 can be connected directly to the computer using the Apple software QuickTake camera. The QuickTake 100 and 150 images stored internally, not in the cards, so you must use a serial cable and software Apple QuickTake driver. QuickTake cameras can not be directly connected to a Macintosh with Mac OS X, both because these machines are not compatible with old Apple standard protocol, and because QuickTake cameras use a single codec for compression and decompression has not been ported to modern versions of QuickTime.
